For a beauty salon, it is important to disclose the following points in the business plan:

Selecting the location of the salon.

Location is perhaps the main factor determining the profitability of a beauty studio or salon. The best places to provide beauty services are on highways with active traffic, high footfall, nearby parking, public transport stops and metro stations. This is the standard set on which your salon's revenue will depend. Such establishments are often located on the territories of shopping or office centers.

There are three main requirements physician database for premises intended for a beauty salon: compliance with sanitary standards, purpose and style of the establishment.

Exterior decoration of the salon.

For a beauty salon or studio the following is desirable:

Display windows.

Canopy over the door (from rain, snow).

The salon sign, a stand near it.

The main entrance is from the street.

The first floor of the building (except for salons located on the territory of shopping centers, shopping malls, business complexes with elevators or escalators; for them, a bright, noticeable sign on the facade is an absolute necessity).

Technical requirements for the salon premises:

Area from 100 m2 .

The ceiling is not lower than 3 m (excluding finishing).

Possibility to connect electrical appliances of 220–380 V.

At least one emergency exit.

A vestibule in which a thermal curtain can be installed for the cold season.

The ability to install plumbing in every room (this requires an additional 30 cm of room height or a basement, in the floor of which all communications will be located).

Separate ventilation duct.

Range of salon services.

To purchase equipment, you should first decide on the list of services provided by the beauty salon and include it in the business plan. Let's consider an example of a Casual class enterprise designed for 20 people.

This establishment provides the following services:

Various hair care procedures: haircuts, coloring, styling.

Nail service - manicure, pedicure.

Services in the field of cosmetology that require certain equipment.

Body care - solarium, massage.

Services of a stylist and make-up artist.

Necessary personnel.

In addition to the manager, a small salon capable of serving 20 customers must have on staff:

A manager who acts as an accountant and is responsible for all purchases (equipment, consumables, inventory, household goods). That is, a quartermaster and an organizer who deals with accounting are needed. In a small salon, all these tasks can be performed by one employee, but if the enterprise grows, it will be necessary to delineate responsibilities and allocate several staff units.

General hairdressers: two masters for each salon (women's and men's).

A cosmetologist who also acts as a consultant and make-up artist.

Make-up artist, who is also a stylist, makeup artist, and consultant on the selection of cosmetics.

Manicure and pedicure specialist (to start, one generalist will be enough, and later, if the business expands, you can hire another one).

Massage therapist with chiropractic and spa therapist skill
