the Merchant or advertiser who promotes an affiliate program to recruit publishers (the affiliates) to promote their online business
the Publisher who participates in the program by registering their website, portal or web property by inserting the JavaScript code that will host the adverts. The publisher will subsequently acquire usa email list traffic on their web presence through SEO and/or SEM promotion activities by promoting the Merchant's adverts together with their own content
the affiliate platform, or the entity that provides the technology to manage payments, the exchange of advertising material and resolves disputes between the various publishers
In short, the figure of the affiliate is comparable to that of a sales agent/representative, who operates online and, by advertising something, receives a percentage or a fixed amount on the "actions" (e.g. a purchase, a registration, a simple click) that are successful.
How it works
The Publisher sends visitors (potential customers) to the merchant's site (the Merchant) that sells products or services. If these users perform the expected action, by contract the Merchant pays you the agreed commission.

Payment systems are different and, depending on the type, give different results and require different preparation. Here they are:
PPC >> Pay per Click or receiving an amount of money every time a visitor clicks on a sponsored link within the site
PPI >> Pay per Impression or earning an amount based on the number of times an advertisement appears on the site
PPL >> Pay per Lead or being paid a fixed amount every time the user performs a specific action (filling out a form or subscribing to a newsletter)
PPS >> Pay per Sale or receiving a percentage, or a fixed amount, when the user purchases and is directed by the aforementioned site.
