You can build a spider web of all the different ways a single asset (your audience) brings revenue to your company. If you're a media company, your event attendees will pay to attend, and your sponsors will pay to reach that audience. If you're a smaller company, maybe your email list, the clients you serve, or the books and subscriptions you sell iraq b2b leads appeal to a smaller audience. Your audience trusts the value you provide and you can more easily monetize your business, which is the core of content marketing. It's like butter, good on its own, but most importantly, it's great!

Another way to think about your addressable audience is to ask yourself if you can reach them on your own terms, regardless of the platform. For example, a podcast can become an owned media experience if people must visit your website and subscribe to listen to it. And people who subscribe to or follow your podcast on Apple iTunes or Spotify are Apple and Spotify’s audience. Ultimately, you are a slave to these platform algorithms. If Spotify decides to kick you out or shut you down, you're out of luck. The same goes for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
