Employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Ryazan and Tambov regions conducted an on-site inspection of land plots in the Tambov municipal district. Agricultural crops are grown on them.
As reported by the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Ryazan and Tambov regions, in order to control the safety of agricultural products, the department's employees collected 150 samples of corn, sunflower, beet, oats and rapeseed on an area of 6 thousand hectares. They sent the samples for examination.
According to the results of laboratory tests, 8 oat samples were found to contain residual amounts of pesticides: carbendazim and fipronil. It should be noted that their use on oat crops is not provided for by the regulations defined shareholder database in the "State Catalog of Pesticides and Agrochemicals Permitted for Use in the Territory of the Russian Federation."
In order to control the release of these products to the end consumer, Rosselkhoznadzor employees sent information for taking measures within their competence to the Rospotrebnadzor Administration for Tambov Oblast. In addition, the case materials will also be sent to the prosecutor's office of Tambov Oblast to coordinate an unscheduled control and supervisory measure in relation to the owner of these land plots.
