According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, Tambov farmers have harvested more than 4 million tons of sugar beet. The industrial crop has been harvested from 90% of fields – 105 thousand hectares. Almost 2.8 million tons of sweet roots have been sent to sugar factories. - Despite the unfavorable weather conditions for agricultural crops that have developed this year, farmers have managed to achieve a decent harvest of industrial crops. The harvest of grain and leguminous crops in the Tambov region today is 3.9 million tons. More than 850 thousand tons of sunflower and over 530 thousand tons of soybeans have been collected .
