In the middle of the pandemic, Animal Crossing: New Horizons arrived , which to this day remains one of the best-selling video games for Nintendo Switch . During this time, brands have not wanted to miss the opportunity to visit the island of the impact and visibility provided by this title.

The game has once again become a topic of conversation and a trending topic due to the Animal Crossing Direct , the live broadcast in which Nintendo will announce important updates for the game in November. Players have used social networks such as Twitter to express their requests, and one of them was a collaboration with IKEA to provide furniture from the Swedish company.

The furniture giant's response was not long in coming. "Tell us how much the turnips cost and we'll talk," said the tweet written by IKEA Spain , referring to the buying and selling of that vegetable in the game. The truth is that in 2020 the firm already launched a campaign related to Animal Crossing.

We review this foray into Animal Crossing: New Horizons and those of other brands below.

1. IKEA
In August 2020, IKEA Taiwan decided to recreate its catalogue in the iconic video game. As a result, a collection of recreations of its iconic furniture and other items emerged.

2. Pandora
Jewelry brand Pandora celebrated the launch of its new collection with Pandora Island . The island, which players can visit, has been created specifically to promote the jewelry line.

It has ideal places to take a photo session with our characters, an iran number data American-style cafeteria and a dance floor, among other details that make the difference.

3. KFC
In June 2020, it was KFC who took a plane to a desert island where they decided to set up their base. The chain created a virtual restaurant that was decorated like any of the company's establishments.

Players could also encounter Colonel Sanders , who would be at a different location on the island each day. Instead of the game's typical digital fruits, players could now walk away with a bucket of chicken pieces in the real world for free (only in the Philippines, of course).

4. Sentosa
Singapore's Sentosa resort took advantage of lockdown and restrictions to open its doors in the Switch game. Sentosa Crossing is the name given to the virtual version of the hotel complex.

Beach bars, walking trails, different hotels or spaces dedicated to yoga were some of the places recreated to make a paradisiacal getaway , in which even group activities were planned.
