According to the second edition of the Kantar Insights Consumer Insights Report for 2022, there has been an increase in the idea that it is better to reduce consumption levels. Thus, consumers are divided between maintaining their consumption levels (46%) and reducing them (51%). This is the first time since 2012 that consumers who are more in favour of reducing outnumber those who prefer to maintain consumption.
The Ukrainian crisis, together with the constant growth of united arab emirates number data inflation, continue to affect consumer confidence, which continues to decline , reaching -19.8 points in this period.
The Kantar Behavioral Index
The Kantar Behaviour Index is the result of the average between the assessment of the economic situation of the individual and the country, the assessment of the moment of consumption and the economic outlook for the next 6 months for both the individual and the country. In this second period, a sharp decline in the forecasts of the economic situation of the country and the household is observed. The poor assessment of the personal economy has not yet been transferred to the current situation or to employment, only to the area of prices and, in fact, the assessment of the moment to make large purchases remains at very negative levels.
