Meta AI in WhatsApp: Privacy and security of user conversations
With PicPay's new AI, making a payment via Pix on WhatsApp becomes simple and intuitive. The process begins with sending or forwarding a Pix key to the PicPay Assistant directly on WhatsApp.
The robot, which uses generative artificial intelligence from OpenAI, recognizes Pix keys in different formats – whether in text, audio or image (screenshot). Access to the assistant is via the PicPay app itself: when logging into the account, the user can select the “Pix on WhatsApp” option.

The development of this innovative AI was the result of a strategic partnership between PicPay, Meta, OpenAI and Microsoft. The technology was trained on OpenAI's artificial intelligence platform, with cloud infrastructure provided by Microsoft Azure.
This training, carried out over 12 months and based on more than 5 million customer service calls, ensures that the PicPay Assistant is prepared to understand and interact with users accurately and efficiently.
