Post by bitheerani319 »

You may have already seen other articles on this blog about the pronunciation of English sounds that are so difficult for Spanish speakers. We have published articles about the phonetic pronunciation of vowels and consonants , as well as different resources to improve pronunciation and make ourselves understood better. But all those symbols and pronunciation details may be too complex, so we are going to summarize the pronunciation of English vowels for you so that you don't have any more trouble with them.

A review
First, let's go back to the basics. Unlike Spanish, with its jordan phone number list vowel sounds, English has 12 different vowels. No, this doesn't mean they have more letters, but they have more ways to pronounce letter combinations. Listen to how they pronounce the oo in book or the o in mother and you'll see. How can the same letters be pronounced differently? And, more importantly, how do I learn it? Well, the bad news is that most of these differences are very counterintuitive, which means you have to memorize them. The good news is that there are certain combinations that make the same sounds almost every time. Below, we divide sounds into five groups based on their similarity to Spanish vowels.
