For example, @happyice often tries new ways to showcase the brand's frozen meals and engage users. The brand's feed showcases a range of colorful desserts, behind-the-scenes snaps of the team and collaborations with local businesses.

It's easy to see why the @happyice reel below appears on my Explore tab. The short video has generated more than 600,000 views, received more than 35,000 likes, and been shared nearly 6,000 times. It also uses a popular soundtrack, making the reel easier to discover for new fans.

The brand’s experiment was a success, as the canada b2b leads account’s Reels regularly received over 100,000 plays along with impressive engagement rates. In addition to using popular audio, the brand regularly creates original tracks voiced by team members.

If you create content that is regularly featured in Reels feeds and ranked in the Explore tab, you can expand your reach and grow your followers over time. However, ranking in Discovery is no easy task. For smaller accounts, achieving the virality needed to rank reliably can be very difficult.

Another proven way to get your Instagram content seen by more people is to partner with creators and other brands. By partnering, you can organically introduce your brand to new audiences without having to pay for advertising. Choose collaborators whose audiences have something in common with yours, so your brand and content are more likely to appeal to them.

For example, @misfitsmarket frequently collaborates with creators like @emeraldcchan and @bobbyflay. The video below showcases the collaboration with @emeraldcchan and highlights how chefs cook with the brand’s products. Since both audiences are likely to be interested in cooking, high-quality ingredients and original recipes, it's easy to see why this collaboration has been so successful.

When you post collaborative content on Instagram, you can of course tag the other account in the content itself or mention the account in the caption. But by using Instagram’s built-in collaboration features, you can achieve higher reach naturally. The collaboration feature allows content to appear in both accounts' feeds, thus reaching both accounts' audiences organically.

If your team is trying to grow an Instagram account with limited resources or a limited budget, you may want to repurpose old content or use stock content. While there’s nothing wrong with either approach, it’s important to post original content on Instagram.
