NBC 's broadcast of the 56th edition of the Super Bowl rebounded in a big way after its ratings stumble in 2021. It averaged 112.3 million viewers across all linear and streaming platforms, according to data from the network itself and from Nielsen.

This year's figure includes 99.2 million who watched the game on NBC, another 1.9 million who watched the first Spanish-language broadcast on Telemundo and 11.2 million who watched via streaming platforms such as Peacock, NBC Sports Digital, NFL and Yahoo Sports.

During the broadcast, NBC's audience peaked at 104.4 million viewers , while the Super Bowl halftime show averaged 103.4 million.

While that's a sizable recovery, the marquee event still falls short of the pre-pandemic tally of the 2020 game on Fox. That drew 113.4 million viewers, including 1.004 billion online.

The last time NBC aired this event, in 2018, the game averaged 118.2 million viewers across all platforms.
