Much has been said about the correct structure of a URL for SEO purposes

The URL structure
Let's remember that its purpose is twofold: on the one hand, the URL must communicate to the search engine the topic of our article or post. On the other hand, it must provide more or less the same information to the reader, possibly in an easy-to-remember format. This is why, personally, I prefer URLs that do not report the date of the post and that have a short, light structure.

The meta description
For some time now, the meta description has no longer been an element that influences the positioning of content. At least directly. In my experience, the meta description could (conditional obligation) be used by the search engine to understand, within the famous bouquet of keywords that make up the search intent, which are the most relevant. In other words, the analysis of the meta description would allow the search engine to "understand" the slant we have given to the news. Secondly, if the meta description does not contain an effective call to action, it loses much of its potential, at least for the "second reader" of digital content, the one made of flesh and blood.
